Ron Fundingsland
My images are familiar objects that are isolated and removed from any context in which the viewer can form a conventional conclusion. I use light and shadow to dramatize the three dimensional illusion of the subjects. It is my hope that these qualities conspire to create mystery about the work. I am affected by social, personal and political issues that are frequently found in my prints. In that context they become interpretations of life. I often refer to my work as commentary.
